Automotive Painter Specialty Cars - Auburn Hills, MI (On-Site-Immediate)

Talascend is currently seeking an Automotive Painter for a contract to direct hire opportunity in Auburn Hills, MI (On-Site-Immediate)     

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Remove debris from surfaces to be painted, fill cavities and dents in vehicles to create an even surface.
  • Mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination and select the proper colors and substances for the project.
  • Painting process itself involves using paint sprayers determining the necessary application of paint for a thorough coat and checking for runs or sags in the paint to ensure a quality product

• • Knowledge of specialty painting techniques.
  • Collision repair capabilities helpful.
  • Must own spray guns, polishers, DA, sanders, tools. etc.
  • Work Hours: Day Shift:  6am – 2:30 pm.
  • Body shop, dent repairs, show car paint type of experience is required.
  • Need to be able to life-cycle repair. Must be able to paint prep, mask, repair, finish and polish. Some training will be provided.
  • Candidates Need to Have: Valid Driver’s License, tools, and prior experience painting vehicles.
  • Please keep in mind the vehicles to be painted are for events and shows, so the painter will most likely need 2.5 years + of experience.
  • This location is in charge of all automotive brand cars for commercials, auto shows, and print. For example, the Yellowstone TV show trucks are made there. and all special order. one-of-a-kind orders that are made here, so no two days are the same. It is an exciting environment.
  • Travel with cars, at some point may be required. Travel points earned go to the employee. A great personality and a love of cars or a passion for them is a basic.
