Test Equipment Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a Test Equipment Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
The role involves supporting, troubleshooting, and updating test equipment in the factory, with a focus on identifying fixes and areas for improvement in production test issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop test requirements documents based on system-level requirements.
- Support and troubleshoot test equipment in the factory.
- Collaborate with a team consisting of on-site resources and a remote engineering team.
- Analyze test failures and recommend changes or updates.
- Maintain a detailed and methodical action plan.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in test equipment design and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen, no dual citizenship.
- Proficient in programming languages, preferably Python, C, LabWindow CVI, LabView.
- Experience with test instruments and RF equipment.
- Familiarity with test certification processes such as DO-160, DO-178, DO-254.
- Experience with embedded operating systems.
- Experience developing code based on schematics.
- Experience developing rack stack ATE, adapters, and cable sets.
- Strong communication skills to articulate findings and interface with team and leadership.
- Well organized and able to maintain a RAIL (action plan).
