Engineering Support Specialist
Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Seattle, Washington.
Overview
This role involves providing technical support to engineers on projects, including data management, prototype assembly, documentation, testing, and analysis to support engineering initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support engineers by collecting, maintaining, organizing, and manipulating technical data.
- Create, build, assemble, modify, and repair prototypes.
- Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and drawings such as sketches, flow charts, diagrams, and schematics.
- Perform mathematical calculations in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Analyze data based on provided guidelines and recommend solutions.
- Set up and conduct tests, recording data to assist in engineering analysis.
- Assist with scientific tasks such as permit applications and calibration of mathematical models for complex projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience.
- OR AA degree in related discipline with 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to handle unusual and seldom occurring job events with minimal assistance.
- Knowledge of technical data management, prototype assembly, and engineering documentation.
