Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity in Bowling Green, Kentucky


  • Recognizes, communicates, and follows all safe work practices as the highest priority and establishes guidelines for ergonomics, health/safety and housekeeping.
  • Coach, teach and use problem solving methods
  • Implements the Business Plan Deployment Process for his/her team
  • Responsible for implementing the Incident Reporting and Resolution Process for his/her team
  • Recognizes, communicates, and follows safe work practices as the highest priority and establishes guidelines for ergonomics, health/safety and housekeeping
  • Ensure all administrative task associated with hourly supervision are complete and accurate
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with employees, union, and management
  • Assure execution of proper and timely calibration of all inspection equipment by inspection and production teams
  • Ensure real time quality feedback information is being provided by his/her team to production teams Maintain accuracy of GSIP reporting with feedback/feedforward
  • Audits-implementation with regular reviews on the shop floor
  • Ensure effective management of Hourly attendance/O.Time tracking system
  • Support production in effective problem solving to reduce rework and scrap
  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
  • Meets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements
  • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
  • Implements divisional and corporate policies
  • Implements safety and good housekeeping standards
  • Frequent contact with others outside the work group
  • Keeps management informed of developments as they occur
  • Maintains corporate and unit management control systems.
  • Maintains department records
  • May be required to work any shift


  • Engineering/Manufacturing degree required
  • Knowledge of company processes and procedure to teach
  • High level oral and written communication skills to work within a team
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing technology
  • Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems
  • High level analytical ability where problems are complex
  • High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures
  • Experience supervising employees in a union manufacturing environment
