Talascend is currently seeking a Dyno Software Development and Electric Motor Calibration Engineer for a contract opportunity with our California-based client, 100% on-site. 

Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Overview:

This role supports software development, testing, and validation for advanced automotive technologies. It offers a fast-paced environment with access to cutting-edge tools and collaboration with experienced professionals.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated test systems using NI Veristand and NI LabVIEW
  • Configure NI PXIe hardware and operate Yokogawa power analyzers
  • Create stimulus profiles using NI Stimulus Profile Editor
  • Write and optimize Python scripts for automation and data analysis
  • Develop and manage Veristand Custom Devices
  • Utilize Git for version control and code management
  • Run HIL and dynamometer tests, analyze data, and document results
  • Improve test automation tools and testing reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and system functionality

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience with Git and electric motor/inverter calibration and testing
  • Proven experience with NI Veristand, NI LabVIEW, and Veristand Custom Devices
  • Skilled in Python and data acquisition/testing systems
  • Familiarity with NI PXIe hardware and Yokogawa power analyzers
  • Certification in NI LabVIEW or NI Veristand
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience with HIL testing and electric motor diagnostics is a plus
