Talascend is seeking a motivated Test Technician for a contract opportunity located in Clearwater, FL. to support the testing of navigational, inertial measurement, and guidance units. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates eager to learn electronic testing procedures and contribute to high-precision aerospace systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn to monitor, read, and record test data from electronic test systems.
  • Start and operate both manual and automated test setups following training and written procedures.
  • Handle, mount, and test sensitive electronic units using tools such as:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Multimeters
    • Calibrated hand tools
    • Power decade boxes
    • Other specialized test equipment
  • Learn to read and interpret schematic drawings and technical documentation.
  • Follow industry-standard safety and cleanliness practices including 5S, FOD, and ESD protocols.
  • Use sound judgment and observation skills to spot test issues and escalate as needed.
  • Work closely under the supervision of a Test Lead or Test Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an electronics-related role (preferred).
  • Quick learner with a strong interest in electronics testing and diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with standard test lab concepts and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow precise instructions.
Required:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (No dual citizenship)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to follow technical documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
