Talascend is currently seeking an Operator for a contract opportunity located in Birmingham, AL.
This role is essential to ensuring smooth, safe, and high-quality execution of routine and technical tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and a strong commitment to following detailed instructions and organizational standards.
- Operate basic equipment and perform routine tasks in accordance with strict, detailed instructions.
- Follow established processes and parameters to carry out daily operational activities.
- Assist in the installation of equipment and appliances by completing preparatory steps and supporting technicians.
- Provide support for equipment and appliance maintenance and repairs, ensuring all instructions are followed accurately.
- Maintain compliance with strict quality control standards to support overall operational excellence.
- Adhere to mandatory work instructions, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure safety and environmental protection.
- Education: Secondary / Intermediate qualification (Minimum 2 GCSEs or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven ability to work independently as an experienced practitioner in a similar role.
- Communication: Uses basic verbal communication skills under supervision to express ideas and request support.
- Operational Planning: Able to work with guidance to monitor procedures and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of planning, organizing, and prioritizing work tasks with minimal supervision.
- Safety Awareness: Applies basic health and safety practices under supervision to support a safe work environment.
- Reporting: Supports report development under supervision, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Team Development: Assists in fostering a growth-oriented environment for team learning and development.
- Risk Management: Identifies and manages operational risks at a basic level with guidance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Works toward full compliance with all relevant rules and regulations in operations.
