Facilities HVAC Technician
Overview:
Support maintenance operations in commercial and industrial facilities. This role includes HVAC system installation, repair, and general building maintenance. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-minded, and ready to work independently on a rotating schedule.
- Monitor facility safety and maintenance conditions
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (AC units, furnaces, ventilation, etc.)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC, mechanical, and electrical issues
- Replace lighting, move furniture/equipment, and manage vendor services
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
- Keep accurate service and maintenance records
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–4 years general facilities experience
- 3–5 years commercial HVAC experience
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Vocational training or Associate's in HVAC
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
- Familiarity with blueprints and wiring diagrams
