Marketing Assistant
Our client is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant for a long-term contract opportunity in Houston, TX.
Overview
The Marketing Assistant will provide administrative support to the marketing department and assist in executing communications initiatives. This role involves creating and managing internal and external communications, coordinating meetings, and supporting the development of proposals and presentations.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate the dissemination of information within the department as part of overall marketing and communications activities
• Respond to departmental inquiries by researching and providing accurate information
• Assist in preparing meeting notes, presentations, and data tables using Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other tools
• Monitor departmental deadlines and benchmarks; support the development of monthly progress reports, tracking action items and updates
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate both on-site and off-site departmental meetings including orientation, training, stakeholder meetings, and reviews
• Prepare various communications such as emails, meeting agendas, and minutes
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical and creative writing, proofreading, and editing
• Strong attention to detail
