The Service, Parts & Customer Care Organization is seeking a highly skilled and solutions-oriented Global Service Commodity Manager – Diesel / Transmission / Driveline to join our Technical Assistance team in Auburn Hills. This position leads a talented technical support team in driving field issue resolutions and ensuring successful repair strategies.

The Service, Parts & Customer Care Organization is seeking a highly skilled and solutions-oriented Global Service Commodity Manager – Diesel / Transmission / Driveline to join our Technical Assistance team in Auburn Hills. This position leads a talented technical support team in driving field issue resolutions and ensuring successful repair strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the champion for resolving diesel, transmission, and driveline-related field issues using data from field reports and call centers.
- Collaborate daily with Product Development, Customer Experience, and Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) teams to manage and resolve field issues.
- Act as the primary internal escalation contact for field actions and liaison for repair methods and communication strategy.
- Stay current with all field issues and maintain deep technical expertise across diesel, transmission, and driveline systems.
- Lead initiatives to improve Fixed First Visit performance, Customer Service Index (CSI), and related service metrics.
- Manage, develop, and support the Field Technical Support team to meet performance goals and ensure workload balance.
- Provide cross-functional leadership and guidance on dealer processes and field repair direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive Technologies, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience with demonstrated stakeholder engagement.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience with diesel, transmission, and driveline systems.
- Strong supervisory, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word).
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and work across various organizational levels.
- Engineering-level systems expertise.
- 5+ years of dealership or field systems/process experience.
- Established relationships with engineering and quality teams.
- Technical expertise in diesel engine drivability/emissions, transmissions, and drivelines.
