Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead and support a team of warehouse employees in meeting business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. This role plays a key part in optimizing shift performance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Counsel and support hourly employees with workplace needs and concerns.
- Encourage positive performance behaviors; address and correct negative ones.
- Use problem-solving processes to identify and address operational opportunities.
- Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve layout and efficiency.
- Update Timekeeping System (TKS) daily for accurate payroll processing.
- Utilize A-3 reporting for structured problem-solving and issue documentation.
- Conduct daily team meetings to review performance and engage staff.
- Perform and document weekly safety observation tours.
- Plan and delegate daily workloads and support colleagues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with contractual (National and Local) and company shop rules.
- Conduct Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audits.
- Engage in personal development through the Individual Development Plan (IDP).
- Keep leadership informed on all key activities and challenges.
- High school diploma required; technical or business school training (1–2 years) preferred.
- Skilled trades or equivalent technical training is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in basic math and computer systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with scheduling and management systems.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety standards.
