Learning Technology Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Learning Technology Analyst for an opportunity in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Overview
The Learning Technology Specialist is responsible for establishing data integrity processes, data models, and building analytic dashboards using visual tools to dynamically provide intelligent data to customers. This role involves consulting with leaders across the organization to identify and prioritize analytics opportunities while designing and developing analytic solutions to support business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Discover patterns and anomalies in data using ad hoc query/visual discovery
- Articulate the structure, components, and relationship of data models
- Understand and verify data in the data warehouse tables
- Use data necessary to answer business questions including data from data warehouse, operational systems, Hadoop, and external sources
- Troubleshoot and identify root cause analysis for data integrity issues
- Document specifications for business intelligence or information technology (IT) reports, dashboards, or other outputs
- Build dynamic dashboards using visual tools
- Understand business needs and analytics capabilities to ensure that appropriate analytics solutions are developed and deployed
- Communicate analytics findings and appropriate recommendations to business stakeholders
- Provide analytics to stakeholders to forecast outcomes, mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Work collaboratively with extended business partners and data experts, manage development efforts with IT, and team members to design and build visual analytic solutions
- Train and support the business community users in dashboard queries and usage
- Evaluate processes and ROI to assess and maximize value
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analytics or an equivalent
- 4+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years SQL
- Proven troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Data Engineering, SQL Application
- Knowledge and application of dashboard solutions, QlikSense and QlikView
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Previous experience working in a dealer operations environment helpful
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with business partners and customers
- Able to effectively communicate orally (in person and by telephone) and in writing
- Able to multi-task, yet maintain close attention to detail and timeliness of work production is required
- Able to work in a positive team-oriented manner with a variety of people
