Talascend is currently seeking a Assembler for a contract opportunity with our client in Acton, Massachusetts.

Overview

The role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating mechanisms to meet specifications, and repairing units as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling and testing various components and products according to engineering specifications.
  • Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Keeping the work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Adhering to all safety and operational procedures.
  • Recording production data and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
  • May require 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Requirements

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Lifting will exceed 30 lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant.
  • Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
