Assembly Support Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Assembly Support Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Newark, California.
Overview
The role involves supporting the assembly process for the motor gear box build team, assisting with kitting efforts, part movements, and documentation. The technician will perform standardized build activities, assist in instrumentation efforts, and maintain the Prototype lab space and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Support assembly process with kitting efforts, part movements, and documentation
- Perform standardized build activities with assembly equipment
- Assist in instrumentation efforts through TC creation and inventory checks
- Organize and maintain the Prototype lab space, equipment, and inventory utilizing 5S and EHS methods
- Teardown and scrap end of life drive units to maintain inventory
- Be part of a team to develop automotive products
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assemblies, components, and BOMs
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and build equipment
- Ability to be flexible and responsive
- Hands-on mentality
- Good understanding of how to work safely and efficiently in a lab
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills required
Shift
8:30-5 M-F, onsite
