Talascend is currently seeking an Aerospace Senior Advanced Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Overview

Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of aerospace projects, requiring a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Supervise the engineering team in the design and analysis of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to facilitate project success.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical and project-related challenges.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of project specifications, design changes, and compliance reports.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field; a master's degree is often preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications may be advantageous.
  • Strong program management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
  • Experience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders.
  • US Citizen required.

Shift

Full-time, on-site attendance required for the first 6 months. Post 6 months, up to 2 days remote and 3 days on-site.
