Talascend is currently seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a contract opportunity with our client in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Overview
The role involves performing quality surveillance activities to verify that supplier furnished material and equipment conforms to technical and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality surveillance activities defined by the assignment scope.
- Verify, through monitoring, observation, document review, and selective hands-on inspection, that supplier furnished material and equipment conforms to the technical and quality requirements.
- Verify that equipment or materials include defined attributes of recognized codes and standards.
- Reject material found non-conforming to procurement document requirements.
- Collaborate with the supplier and project supplier quality personnel to identify a course of action to achieve satisfactory disposition of disclosed non-conformances.
Requirements
- Must have strong computer skills.
- Detailed weekly reporting documentation required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must travel to other locations as needed on a regular basis.
