Maintenance Clerk
Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Clerk for a contract opportunity with our client in Mapleton, Illinois.
Overview
This position provides general clerical support to the maintenance department and storeroom backup, responsible for issuing purchase requisitions and orders, entering purchase orders, and collaborating with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Issue maintenance labor and material purchase requisitions and orders.
- Issue purchase requisitions and purchase orders for production for hard goods.
- Issue purchase requisitions and purchase orders for ESH and assist in maintaining PPE supplies.
- Work with vendors and procurement to establish outline agreements.
- Manage and review invoices for accuracy against original purchase order and resolve discrepancies.
- Back up of storeroom clerk to receive stock items and project materials within the SAP system.
- Label incoming stock items with SAP material numbers.
- Back up of storeroom clerk to enter goods issued on work orders into the SAP system.
- Adjust stock based on storeroom sign-off sheet.
- Audit inventories and write-off discrepancies.
- Back up of storeroom clerk to manage the VMI for the maintenance department.
- Enter all labor hours for mechanics and contractors into SAP.
- Scan timesheets, documents, and reports to support organizational needs.
- Complete the scanning of engineering paper files and organize them into SiteDoc.
- Migrate electronic engineering files to SiteDoc.
- Organize and transfer engineering folders from the H drive to SharePoint.
- Perform all duties as assigned by management.
- Participate in safety initiatives for both maintenance and site-wide EHSQ activities.
- Manage outstanding invoices by working with the vendor and Essential Accounts Payable Functions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49 CFR hazardous regulations for shipment of materials.
- Must follow ISO procedures in all phases of warehouse operations.
- Physical mobility and agility required, prolonged stooping, stretching, bending.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Activities occur inside and outside, subject to outside environmental conditions.
- The incumbent is subject to extreme cold and extreme heat.
Shift
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
