Talascend is currently seeking an Utility Plant Planner for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Overview

Responsible for providing planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities within the utility plant. This position will liaise with the maintenance teams and client to ensure required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organized and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilization of the maintenance resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Facilities Manager in various duties
  • Works with maintenance managers and assigns vendors and or groups of individuals as required to complete the work
  • Coordinates client vendors with scheduling to ensure the contracted PM work and or corrective work is planned and scheduled with all teams and communicated with client
  • Individual will be responsible for completing basic PMs and inspections on miscellaneous utility assets and related documentation requirements
  • Coordinates with client representatives to understand their needs and to ensure the work schedule takes account of the downtime / shutdown procedures
  • Supports and assists clients audit process as needed
  • Supports building automation systems where needed, building documentation, the preventive maintenance program and the tasks of the utility plant needs
  • Confers/communicates and manages work order requesters
  • Determines and arranges any operational safety requirements for the completion of a work order
  • Creates and publishes weekly, monthly and quarterly work schedules and makes them available to client representatives
  • Coordinates and conducts scheduling meeting with maintenance teams and customers for scheduling planned maintenance activities
  • Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing maintenance repair activities in a process and building services environment with a utility plant
  • Facilities management experience required of the facility, budget management, contract management
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in a relevant engineering discipline

Requirements

  • Experience working on a client-account is strongly preferred
  • Experience with managing multiple vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills are required
  • Able to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers
