Operations Supervisor

Talascend is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia.

Overview

This role assists the Chief of Information Services and communicates with external resources for planned site activities and implementation actions. The position may supervise operations staff and site user support/help desk, ensuring quality and timeliness of services.

Responsibilities

• Acts as assistance to the Chief of Information Systems Officer.
• Communicates with external resources for planned site activities and implementation actions.
• Supervises operations staff and site user support/help desk.
• Manages site deliverables ensuring quality and timeliness of services.
• Coordinates system availability and preventive maintenance of systems, including peripherals.
• Tracks and reports license compliance to ensure 100% compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related field or task.

• Works on diverse tasks where analysis of client's data requires an evaluation of various factors.
• Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and criteria for obtaining results.
• Ensures project budget, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
• Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives.
• Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer groups.
• Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, oversee production, and maintain work schedules.
• Supervises the activities of a department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and possibly employees.
• May manage and be responsible for staff development, supervision, and management.
• Has understanding of this job with comprehensive knowledge of the job field.
• Required communication and presentation skills and the ability to operate independently.
