Senior Analytics Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Analytics Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
Overview
The main function of a marketing manager is to lead the research of market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service.
Responsibilities
- Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
- Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
- Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
- Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
- Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
- Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
- Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Define and manage paid media analytics, insights and reporting that support marketing objectives and strategies.
- Lead the analysis and development of executive-friendly marketing/media reports.
- Provide compelling, action-oriented insights and takeaways across a full funnel paid media strategy.
- Lead the development of automated and systemized methods to more efficiently incorporate data and learnings into reports.
- Drive sophisticated analyses and insights to visualize, interpret and story-tell data and learnings.
- Develop and maintain a robust measurement framework to track the effectiveness of media campaigns and investment.
- Partner closely with IM Paid Media and Paid Media AOR to identify ongoing targets for each dimension of the business.
- Work closely with the PCG Analytics Team and Big data team to align on the proper tagging strategies and tools.
- Lead MMM/MTA requirements, report-outs and optimizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
- 5-7 years related experience required.
- Minimum of 8+ years of media data, analytics and insights experience required.
Requirements
- Innately familiar with MMM & MTA.
- Developing insights-led executive/leadership reports.
- Knowing Paid Media (full funnel, retail, performance marketing).
- Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Strong knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Strong ability to develop marketing and pricing strategy.
- Strong knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
- A positive all-hands-on-deck attitude and willingness to get the job done.
- Passion for problem solving, critical thinking and digging into data and analytics to identify solutions and areas of optimization.
Shift
5 days a week fully onsite
