Hybrid Software Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking a hybrid Software Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.
Overview
The role involves designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications, as well as supporting and installing software applications and operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
- Software architecture design and embedded C++ coding.
- Creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements.
- Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
- Participating in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
- May report directly to a project lead or manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area.
- 4-6 years of experience software architecture design and embedded C++ coding.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge of aviation industry regulations and best practices.
- Knowledge of DO-178C SDLC.
