Mechanical Conveyor Installation Foreman / Millwright
Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Conveyor Installation Foreman / Millwright for a contract opportunity with our client in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Overview
This role involves leading small conveyor installation projects with minimal supervision, focusing on delivering high-quality work while meeting demanding schedules.
Responsibilities
- Lead small conveyor installation projects with minimal supervision
- Independently run small projects with little to no direction
- Supervise and manage 5–10 installers
- Answer field questions and ensure efficient installation
- Read blueprints and perform layout work
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical conveyor installation experience
- Preferred: Relevant certifications in conveyor installation, construction management, or occupational health and safety
Requirements
- 100% travel required
- Prior experience installing conveyor systems for UPS, FedEx, or Amazon (at least one required)
- Experience with both weld-up and bolt-up conveyor installation
- Strong technical knowledge
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with a solid safety track record
- Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry safety regulations
Shift
58-hour work week Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
