Talascend is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Framingham, Massachusetts. Potential for contract extension or direct hire.

Overview
An engineering firm is seeking a Project Coordinator to support distribution engineering projects across the Northern United States. This role works closely with project managers, lead engineers, and account managers to support permitting and project coordination activities. The position sits within the Power Delivery Solutions division, which provides consulting and engineering design services for electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.  This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative work environment with flexible work arrangements and strong opportunities for career development and growth.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enter, update, and maintain project data, statuses, and documentation in internal tracking and PMO systems
  • Coordinate and track permitting activities across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met
  • Maintain permitting schedules, logs, and documentation; update project milestones and statuses
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on permit applications and supporting documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between project managers, permitting authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate potential impacts to project teams
  • Assist with risk identification related to permitting and escalate issues as needed
  • Support billing activities, including tracking invoice submissions, payment status, and required backup documentation
  • Perform routine data entry and quality checks to ensure project and billing accuracy
  • Assist with internal reporting, including status updates, dashboards, and compliance summaries
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document decisions and action items
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to project managers
  • Ensure permitting and project processes follow established standards, document control practices, and quality requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the electric utility industry is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, or P6) preferred
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Schedule
4 days onsite, 1 day remote
