Program Controls Manager
Talascend is currently seeking a Program Controls Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Fort Worth, Texas.
Overview
The Program Controls Manager is responsible for managing the controls budget and schedule on various related projects within an overall client program. This position oversees the reporting systems for program controls and ensures the tools used in program controls are developed, available, and functioning according to the Program Execution Plan.
Responsibilities
- Manage the controls budget and schedule on various related projects.
- Ensure the reporting systems for program controls are developed and functioning.
- Execute complex aspects of estimating, scheduling, cost control, earned value analysis, and progress reporting.
- Direct the organization that provides reviews of the program's status.
- Manage quality and consistency across all controls practices within the program.
- Interface with clients, attend program meetings, and create statistical reports.
- Manage and present detailed schedule and earned value analysis.
- Assess impacts of design/construction changes and schedule alterations.
- Lead and direct schedule management involving critical path method scheduling techniques.
- Implement and manage risk management processes.
- Lead the Interactive Program Planning Meetings.
- Analyze program forecast project costs including performance against established schedules.
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors.
- Responsible for recruitment, development, training, and retention of the program controls team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field, and 7 years direct project controls experience or managing industry specific programs in project controls required.
Requirements
- Field experience in facilitating and producing detailed construction schedules.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
- Experience with Project Management Information System(s) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
