Talascend is currently seeking an Entry Level Mechanic for a contract opportunity with our client in Livonia, Michigan.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of recent hands on assembly experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have basic understanding of automotive systems
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent attendance

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience
  • Automotive electrical systems experience a plus
  • Candidates are encouraged to have a basic set of mechanic tools

Shift

Full-time employment opportunities may be available; willingness to work overtime/weekends when needed.
