Talascend is currently seeking an Industrial Pipe Welder for a contract opportunity with our client in San Antonio, Texas.
Overview
- Seeking experienced P22 pipe welders for work at a coal-fired power plant. this role involves high-pressure chrome-moly piping and requires x-ray quality welds in a safety-critical industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Weld P22 chrome-moly piping using tig and stick processes
- Produce x-ray quality welds to asme standards
- Follow all welding procedures including preheat, interpass, and pwht
- Read and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings
- Maintain strict safety and quality compliance
Qualifications
- Experience welding p22 or similar alloy piping
- Ability to pass x-ray weld test
- power plant or heavy industrial experience preferred
- must pass background, drug screen
