Talascend is currently seeking a HVAC Maintenance Technician for an opportunity in Reno, Nevada.
Overview
This role involves performing hands-on HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for commercial building systems. It requires technical expertise to ensure optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction through preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution, plumbing, and building interior/exterior components.
- Perform predictive, planned, preventative, and routine maintenance following established programs and procedures.
- Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance programs, schedules, and operational procedures.
- Maintain safety standards and participate in emergency response and safety training programs.
- Complete tenant service requests accurately and efficiently.
- Evaluate building systems to monitor and improve performance and efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations and execute tasks in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
- Maintain records of maintenance and service activities using appropriate technological tools.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of proven hands-on HVAC experience.
- Demonstrated experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical building systems including HVAC, exhaust fans, boilers, and chillers.
- Technical proficiency with preventative maintenance programs, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and maintenance management tools.
- Knowledge of safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work independently with a flexible scope of responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or facilities management.
- Experience developing and improving preventative maintenance programs, procedures, and SOPs.
- Background working in office or commercial property environments.
- Familiarity with tenant service delivery and customer service best practices.
- Experience with emergency response procedures and safety training programs.
