Talascend is currently seeking a Medical Device Quality Inspector for a contract opportunity with our client in Madison, Wisconsin.
Overview
The medical device quality inspector is responsible for inspecting parts to specifications, ensuring materials and processes meet quality standards, and supporting production in a fast-paced environment. The role involves using measurement tools and entering data into systems to maintain compliance with GMP standards and ISO regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform part inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, plug gages, and thread gages
- Inspect materials and products to meet specifications based on drawings
- Enter acceptance data into ERP systems such as SAP
- Learn and utilize systems for nonconforming material reports and failure data entry
- Follow procedures and support production team members
- Work overtime as needed based on production schedules
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards and ISO 13485:2008 and FDA regulations
- Identify defects and flaws with attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Read and write in English
- Basic math skills
- Experience with optical measurement machines or a CMM
- Ability to use measurement devices such as calipers, thread gauges, and micrometers
- Ability to identify defects and flaws
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Familiarity with ISO13485 or ISO 9001 is preferred
- Experience in a regulated environment is a plus, but training will be provided
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
