Talascend is currently seeking a Materials Planning Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Clearwater, Florida.
Overview
As a Materials Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing materials management processes to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. You will manage inventory levels, analyze material requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer demands, reporting to the Materials Planning Supervisor at the Clearwater, FL plant.
Responsibilities
- Analyze material inventory position, shortages, and supply risks
- Investigate and resolve material-related issues caused by supply disruptions
- Monitor shortage reports, open demand, and past due materials
- Coordinate daily with procurement, operations, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to understand and resolve material shortages
- Escalate critical shortages with clear communication and recommended actions
- Develop and maintain reports, trackers, and analysis to improve material visibility, shortage management, and operational decision making
- Ensure execution of critical tasks to support shop performance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in planning
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and SAP
- Experience in manufacturing planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and Power BI
- Must be a US citizen
- Strong candidates will have experience in manufacturing materials planning and related tools
- Ability to proactively solve problems, manage a fast-paced environment, and work independently
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, with effective prioritization, urgency, and timing
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year degree
- Established skills and experience in materials management and planning
