Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
Overview
The Facilities Technician provides general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring the facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility to ensure safety, security, and maintenance standards are met.
- Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain general and preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of experience required.
- Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
