Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity in Houston, Texas
SUMMARY:
Shift Time: 3pm - 1am (Night Shift) - Preferred**
Shift Time: 5am - 3:30pm (Day Shift)
Ensures that all machines and equipment are in top operating condition and are available for production as needed.
Some weekends, weekdays, nights, occasional shift coverage, shift movement, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key interactions
Key interactions (internally, externally): Production, Industrialization.
Analyzes risks (technical, human, organizational, economical) before each maintenance operation.
Involved in organizing and planning maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
Implements standards, develops best practices, and ensures their application by members of the team.
Ensures motivation and the appropriate level of communication within the team, establishes the unit training plan and ensures their development
Reduces costs in order to maintain the level of productivity.
Proposes and implements improvements on equipment.
Carries out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance of site machinery and facilities in order to minimize unplanned downtime
Manages day to day activities
Focuses on a specific process
Manages specific improvement process and
Ensures the coordination of action plans
SKILLS:
Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, Hydraulic systems,
Pneumatic systems,
CNC machine troubleshooting and maintenance,
Comfortable working at heights between 80 - 100+ ft
Technical bachelor degree.
2 to 3 years of experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment.
Leadership skill.
