Forklift/ Heavy Machine Operator- South Fulton, GA
Talascend is currently looking for a Forklift/Heavy Machine Operator for a contract role in South Fulton, GA.
Shift: this position will be 10 hour days Saturday through Tuesday
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift/Heavy Machinery Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to proficiently operate industrial trucks or heavy machinery in various environments such as warehouses, storage yards, factories, construction sites, or similar locations. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe movement of product loads throughout the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect product loads for accuracy and safely maneuver them within the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Operate controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Utilize levers and controls to operate lifting devices like forklifts and hoists to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
- Load and unload materials manually or mechanically from pallets, skids, or boxes, securing them for transport to designated areas.
Skills:
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team player with problem-solving abilities.
- Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for optimizing the manufacturing and distribution of goods.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Forklift operator's license required.
- 2-4 years of manufacturing experience is necessary.
- Cherry Picker / reach lift experience
