A Talascend client is currently seeking an LNG Deputy Construction Site Manager opportunity.

OVERVIEW: 


This is a Direct Hire position offering a competitive compensation package. As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing a significant vertical package or scope of work. Your responsibilities will include supervising Site Managers on large-scale projects exceeding $1 billion and/or involving over 1500 craft workers. These projects are distinguished by their complexity and the involvement of multiple stakeholders.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership/Supervision:
  • Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
  • Oversees total site management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
  • Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client’s communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
  • Coordinates all project contractual activities. and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations.
  • Directs the development and implementation of a training program to ensure subordinate personnel receive progressive training to enable them to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Manages project startup activities as required.
 
Planning:
  • Oversee jobsite expenditures for labor equipment, material & services and ensures field operations are within the budget.
  • Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
  • Develop, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
  • Responsible for overall development of manual training and any testing as required.
  • Implements an effective community relations plan for the site.
 
Safety and Quality:
  • Ensure development and execution of Project Automation Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, safety plan, site survey plan, non-manual staffing plan, subcontracting plan, labor strategy, Construction Execution Plan, and job-site work rules.
  • Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications.
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures are fully implemented.
  • Direct overall project safety programs and ensures strict adherence to local and national regulatory safety codes.
  • Ensure required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the affected work at site.
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the Business Unit and/or Company.
  • Participates in development of Business Unit or Corporate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Manage the work efforts of managers, supervisors, or professionals. Has accountability for the performance and reviews.
  • Adapt and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies.
  • Responsible for staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • Participates in planning and budgeting.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Current or prior EPC experience.
