Talascend is currently seeking a Press Vehicle Prep Technician for a contract opportunity in Stanfield, Arizona.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This role will be responsible for preparation of pre-production and production vehicles used for media events, from initial pre-delivery inspection to applying mechanical and other updates to ensure that the vehicles represent production state when used in the various media events.
  • The technician will also need to interact daily with other technicians and engineers.
  • Evaluation of the vehicles to detect both static and dynamic concerns is required. 
  • Perform incoming inspection and prep.
  • Install wide range of updates to the vehicles including both hardware and software.
  • Evaluate vehicle performance via test drives and identify root cause of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair vehicle concerns.
  • Managing vehicle preparation schedules to meet delivery timing.
  • Cleaning and detailing vehicles prior to shipment.
  • Microsoft Outlook and Excel required (enter data into spreadsheet for tracking). PowerPoint experience a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in automotive dealership service area or automotive development testing.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required. Associate’s degree or some college coursework is preferred.
  • ASE certification is highly preferred.

TRAVEL:
  • Ability to work overtime as required including Saturday during peak work loads. Travel within North America to press events (approximately 10% required).
