Job Summary:

Talascend is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity located in Boyne City MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, testing and calibrating components to meet product specifications, and ensuring quality throughout the assembly process. This is an entry-level position with training provided and the opportunity for advancement.
- Assemble units using hand and power tools according to product specifications.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances.
- Identify and repair units that fail tests or do not meet tolerance levels.
- Follow work instructions and established guidelines to complete assigned tasks.
- Report to supervisor or manager and work under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related field.
- May be required to complete an apprenticeship or formal training.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical tools and assembly processes.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Ability to lift between 10 to 15 lbs. with minimal repetition.
- Minimal exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological, or physical risks.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks during shift hours.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
- Clear safety protocols and on-the-job training provided.
