Talascend is seeking a Senior Control System Verification Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Indianapolis, IN.
This role will lead a team supporting the integration, verification, and delivery of control systems, software, and airborne electronic hardware for defense applications. You will provide technical leadership and ensure verification deliverables meet industry standards (e.g., ARP4754A, DO-178C), while collaborating globally to drive best practices in tools, processes, and engineering quality.

This role will lead a team supporting the integration, verification, and delivery of control systems, software, and airborne electronic hardware for defense applications. You will provide technical leadership and ensure verification deliverables meet industry standards (e.g., ARP4754A, DO-178C), while collaborating globally to drive best practices in tools, processes, and engineering quality.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and verifying control system solutions
- Ensure engineering outputs meet safety-critical standards and documentation quality
- Collaborate on system requirements, design, and verification for aerospace systems
- Mentor engineers, provide training, and support process development
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Travel up to 10% for program support
- Bachelor’s in aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering + 2+ years of experience, OR
- Master’s or PhD in the above disciplines
- Experience with requirements management
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- 5+ years of product development experience
- Knowledge of FAA/military airborne system certification
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or similar digital engineering tools
- Experience with model-based systems and SysML (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw)
- Familiarity with agile development practices and robust design techniques
