Talascend is seeking an experienced Electronic Test Equipment Technician for a contract opportunity located in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Technicians and Engineering teams to build, fabricate, modify, and repair test equipment and red-label avionics products. This role supports both Engineering and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) customers and involves working on a wide range of tasks—from repairing a single connector pin to assembling complex Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Assembly, modification, and repair of:
  • Cable harnesses
  • Circuit card assemblies (including micro-electronics)
  • Break-out boxes and test adapters
  • Power controllers
  • Full-up test stations and racks
  • EMI fixtures
  • Micro-electronics components
  • Support electronic troubleshooting and repair
  • Collaborate with engineering to suggest design improvements and resolve issues
  • Ensure work complies with IPC standards Qualifications:
    • Minimum 7 years of technician experience
    • Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical schematics and prints
    • Skilled in using crimping tools, soldering irons, cutters/strippers, voltmeters, continuity testers, label makers, and mechanical tools
    • Hands-on experience in test equipment fabrication and red-label product handling
    • IPC familiarity or certification preferred
    • Familiar with SAP and general computer systems
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
