Project Coordinator
Overview
The Fuel Handling Project Coordinator will support project performance management within a complex capital project environment. This role integrates technical scope, schedule, and budget at the control account level and focuses on earned value management, scheduling, cost tracking, and risk management. You must have relevant, project coordination experience on capital projects with $20M+ budgets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular performance reviews of budget, schedule, and resources
- Collaborate with Control Account Manager (CAM) to address underperformance
- Interface with project coordinators to improve processes
- Monitor and analyze cost and schedule variances using earned value and actual cost data
- Identify root causes and develop corrective or recovery plans
- Ensure accurate recording of actual costs
- Collect activity status updates and maintain the Integrated Master Control Schedule (IMCS)
- Lead schedule planning and reforecasting efforts
- Maintain risk register and monitor project risks
- Assist CAM with staffing and resource plans
- Adjust and maintain a resource-leveled schedule
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. PMP certification and/or MBA preferred
- 4+ years of project management experience on capital projects over $20M
- Proficiency in earned value management metrics
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Familiarity with engineering project life cycle
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to build trust, foster teamwork, and communicate effectively
- Travel up to 15%
