Talascend is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for an opportunity in Kansas City, KS
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fix supplier quality and engineering issues impacting GCA, Direct Run and Warranty.
  • Solve problems using Red X and other tools as applicable.
  • Assist production in preventing defects and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on SPPSs and ensure robust corrective action.
  • Share Lessons Learned with Engineering to prevent repeat design or build issues.
  • Review nonconforming parts and sub-assemblies for proper initial disposition and root cause.
  • Coordinate periodic system and process audits at the plant and supplier facilities.
  • Coordinate engineering change implementation. Assist in running PTRs (Production Trial Run).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Familiar with read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • MS Excel and Computer Skills are required
     

Shift

Full time Monday-Friday, onsite 5 days a week.
