Systems Designer for Range, Consumption & Emissions
Talascend is currently seeking a Systems Designer for Range, Consumption & Emissions for a contract opportunity with our client in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Overview
The Systems Designer for Range, Consumption & Emissions is responsible for leading the evaluation of fuel economy, acceleration performance, capability and drivability for new electrified powertrains and vehicles using computer modeling techniques and test data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Leading the evaluation of fuel economy, acceleration performance, capability and drivability for new electrified powertrains and vehicles.
- Analyzing architectures and concepts to achieve functional requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related degree field
Requirements
- Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills, and demonstrated problem solving ability
- Understanding of manufacturing and quality processes of electrical components
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Requirements
- Components releasing experience
- Experienced in validating and releasing of Electric Components for Automotive applications
- Knowledge in electrified powertrain propulsion systems
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green / Black-Belt
- Knowledgeable in use of TeamCenter with experience in NX in a production release environment
