Financial Analyst
Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a contract opportunity with our client in Newark, California.
Overview
This role is critical in driving operational efficiency and business insights through report automation, monthly business review preparation, and forecasting support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Automate recurring reports and dashboards to streamline business performance tracking and reduce manual effort.
- Compile and deliver Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) with a focus on actionable insights, trends, and performance drivers.
- Support forecasting processes by analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and partnering with stakeholders to refine assumptions.
- Maintain and enhance reporting tools using Excel and Anaplan.
- Partner with Commercial Operations and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of scalable reporting solutions.
- Support ad hoc analysis and executive reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
- An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 2-4 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

- Anaplan experience
- Excel experience
- Comfortable in an ad hoc environment.
- Ability to pivot.
Shift
9am-6pm PST, Mon-Fri; Onsite, potential hybrid
