Talascend is currently seeking a Dyno Operator with a leading automotive manufacturer for a contract opportunity located in Milford, Michigan.
OVERVIEW
The role involves ensuring alignment to selected titles and supporting training for new site capabilities. Responsibilities include operating test equipment, preparing vehicles for testing, conducting safety observations, and participating in problem-solving activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete test request process.
- Prepare vehicle for test.
- Install vehicle on test site.
- Monitor test.
- Remove vehicle from test site.
- Conduct safety observation tour per schedule.
- Investigate team safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Engage in employee safety concern process.
- Participate in all BPD activities.
- Participate in problem solving for continuous improvement.
- Communicate and escalate issues/information effectively and timely.
- Train team members utilizing JIT process.
- Attend and participate in shift overlap meetings.
- Maintain standardized work documents.
- Complete quality audits and resolve quality issues.
- Understand and comply with environmental aspects.
- Participate in throughput improvement process.
- Complete time card.
- Maintain test sites clear of hazards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 year technical degree
- At least 3 years experience preferred
- Working with test equipment and communicating with the vehicle.
- Understanding of vehicle components and repair – helpful but not required.
- Technical background – helpful but not required.
- Understanding of chassis dyno, experience with INCA is helpful but not required.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Working with a test automation system.
- Desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to work with a team and other teammates.
- Punctual.
- Someone who likes to work with their hands and their minds.
- A person that likes to work with smaller testing equipment/tools.
- Basic understanding of vehicle communication tools.
- Ability to investigate communication or test setup issues.
- Microsoft Office & basic computer skills.
