AutoCAD 3D Civil Designer
Talascend is currently seeking a Civil Designer with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience for a long-term career opportunity with our client based in Mobile, Alabama.
Overview
The CAD Designer/Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents to support civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and revise detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Assist engineers with the preparation of design layouts, construction documents, and technical exhibits
- Maintain drawing files, project documentation, and CAD standards to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Translates conceptual designs, sketches, and redlines into final construction-ready and preliminary drawings
- Coordinate drawing production with engineers and project teams
- Prepare plan sets including site grading, utility layouts, roadway alignments, and profiles
- Assist with submission packages for permitting and client approvals
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or CAD Drafting preferred; equivalent experience in land development engineering and drafting will also be considered
- 1–3 years of drafting experience in a civil engineering, surveying, or construction environment
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
- Familiarity with civil engineering design concepts such as grading, utilities, and drainage
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
