Laboratory Technician
Talascend is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Theodore, Alabama.
Overview
The role involves performing laboratory analysis, developing quality assurance documents, assisting in equipment troubleshooting, and supporting laboratory projects.
Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory analysis as directed by the laboratory manager
- Reviews, edits, and develops quality assurance documents and work instructions under the supervision of the laboratory manager
- Assists the laboratory manager and technicians in equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Supports laboratory projects and continuous improvement activities
- Calibrates and performs maintenance on ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA, GC, TOC and all other instrumentation under the supervision of the laboratory manager
- Performs SAP transactions related to raw materials, intermediates, and finished products and other technical activities
- Places orders for lab chemicals and materials
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry/Biology
- Preferred: Recent graduate
Shift
40 hours/week- Monday to Friday 8 to 5
