Project Manager – Engineer VI
Talascend is currently seeking a Project Manager – Engineer VI for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Irving, Texas or other locations like Omaha, Chicago, Jacksonville.
Overview
The role leverages extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices to address a broad range of project challenges, particularly in rail and track systems. It involves resolving complex issues, managing unique project conditions, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance organizational practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead project team(s) for the organization
- Oversee and analyze the financial performance of a number of projects
- Oversee and be responsible for project deliverables and complying to the Project Delivery Quality Program
- Have a track/rail background and capability to oversee design reviews
- Ensure timely and accurate client invoicing, work in progress (WIP), and accounts receivable (AR) management
- Actively engage in project reviews to ensure the quality and alignment of projects with goals
- Contribute to identifying improvements and solutions based on review feedback
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within project teams
- Perform other duties as required to meet business needs
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field, ideally with PE or ability to obtain a PE license
- 10+ years of prior experience
Requirements
- Proficient in electronic communications (e-mail, text) and standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead project meetings and make presentations
- Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations
- Be bilingual in, or strong working knowledge, of Spanish
Preferred Requirements
- Professional Engineer License in any state
- Committed to life-long learning to stay updated on contemporary issues
- Membership in a professional practice organization, national board member or officer, or national technical/policy committee member
Shift
Monthly travel to Omaha, NE.
