Fabrication Shop Worker
Talascend is currently seeking a Fabrication Shop Worker for a contract opportunity with our client in Mobile, Alabama.
Overview
The role involves working predominantly in a warehouse/fabrication shop environment, reading specifications, measuring materials, and fabricating products to meet client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Reading specifications to determine type of material needed, length & gauge of material needed, and any other details to fabricate product to specification.
- Measuring sling materials to meet specifications set forth by management and/or client.
- Ability to sew or willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Experience in construction or industrial environment
Requirements
- Ability to read instructions & measurements; ability to read tape measure and calculate measurements occasionally.
- Ability to work in environment subject to hot & cold depending on the weather.
- Ability to consistently lift 25-40 lbs; to pull/tug rope & materials from coils; to stand, walk and squat the majority of the workday.
- Dependable transportation to and from facility.
Shift
Mon-Fri 8a to 5p with occasional Saturday hours as needed.
