Facilities Maintenance Technician I
Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I for a contract opportunity with our client in Greer, South Carolina.
Overview
The role involves performing maintenance tasks, particularly HVAC maintenance, and providing technical support under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Replace air filters in HVAC systems according to scheduled maintenance calendar
- Clean evaporator and condenser coils using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment
- Document filter changes and coil cleaning activities in maintenance logs
- Assist senior maintenance technicians with complex repairs and installations
- Learn advanced maintenance procedures through hands-on training and observation
- Help troubleshoot basic facility systems under supervision
- Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Support emergency maintenance calls when needed
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and tool storage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems preferred
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical positions
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
- Previous maintenance or technical experience
- Basic tool knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Shift
Sunday-Thursday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
