Talascend is currently seeking a Planner For Electrical Maintenance for a contract opportunity with our client in Thousand Oaks, California.

Overview

The electrical planner role supports the journey towards a world-class maintenance organization by providing efficient means of managing facilities maintenance and associated maintenance labor.

Responsibilities

  • Requires in depth electrical subject matter expert level knowledge of facilities planning & scheduling
  • Leadership skills (training, presentations, & teambuilding) and project management
  • Organizational skills coupled with the leadership and interpersonal skills to be able to manage multiple maintenance activities simultaneously
  • Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of management and interface with a diverse customer base including technical and non-technical personnel in order to effectively support a multi-discipline team environment
  • Ability or understanding of how to create CMMS ad hoc reports and submit work requests for complex data reports

  • Solid personal computer skills: hardware and software including Microsoft Office products, including Excel
  • Plans, schedules, coordinates and assigns all frequency and work type maintenance activities for group or team of responsibility
  • Collaborates with subcontractor counterparts to ensure successful outcomes for subcontractor responsibilities
  • Optimizes maintenance inventory by balancing workload to labor availability
  • Complies with all client CMMS standards and specifications to ensure database integrity and standardization
  • Manages asset maintenance parts ordering process (MRO) for assigned team(s) and optimizes efforts through PM auto ordering where applicable
  • Creates all asset-related purchase requisitions
  • Ensures all POs are created and approved before scheduling of work
  • Collects data and collaborates with operations team to optimize maintenance programs
  • Maintains maintenance record compliance to CMMS and maintenance business process standards and specs through periodic data auditing
  • Maintains liaison with facilities technicians and other management regarding work execution, necessity of altering schedules and manpower status
  • Arranges for special tools and equipment
  • Tracks all asset information, including spare parts, documentation and booked labor hours
  • Continuous improvement of the work planning and scheduling process through the review and use of maintenance metrics, analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations
  • Submits and documents database record changes using client CMMS change request system
  • Facilitates/attends team huddles or ops meetings to communicate the plan and schedule for the day/week maintenance activities
  • Provides weekly reports to facility managers, identifies risks and gaps and provides resolution plans
  • Identifies risks to client facilities and eliminates downtime
  • Responsible for the adherence and compliance with all work practices
  • Administers compliance with and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs
  • Understands basic safety protocols of JHA, confined space, hot work etc.
  • Conducts improvement assessments and produces documentation
  • Supports preparation of business operations driven documents, reports and other deliverables
  • Assists departments such as communications, finance, human resources, sourcing, human experience, program management, and EHS, as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years direct experience in electrical trade, facilities, operational, and customer service

Requirements

  • Knowledge of scheduling software, procurement systems, databases, Microsoft Office programs, etc. with the ability to learn
  • Strong technical knowledge of EAMS CMMS and MRO system
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
  • Strong organization skills and collaborative management style

Shift

M-F 7am - 4:30. There could be some overtime and weekends.

Pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
