Safety Professional
Talascend is currently seeking a Safety Professional for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Aiken, South Carolina.
Overview
The role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring all work is performed in full compliance with DOE, OSHA, and site-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety programs and procedures
- Lead safety orientations, daily briefings, and ongoing training for project staff
- Conduct field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Investigate incidents and manage corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with DOE, and OSHA requirements
- Serve as primary liaison with client and internal management on all safety matters
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all project operations
Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Safety and Health from an accredited or BCSP-recognized program
- At least seven (7) years of full-time professional experience in the field of safety and health
Requirements
- Prior experience working on DOE, nuclear, or high-security industrial projects
- Proven leadership in field safety for construction or demolition operations
- Familiarity with electrical, confined space, and high-pressure water systems
