Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer
Talascend is currently seeking an Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, AZ.
Overview:
As a Senior Advanced Test Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art avionics solutions tailored to business aviation. Collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the aerospace industry as you contribute to the qualification and verification of advanced avionics products. Your expertise will help ensure our solutions not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of our clients.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Hardware/Product Engineering.
- Proven experience in Environmental and/or EMI testing for avionics product qualification.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Product Qualification guidance standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.
- Basic understanding of electronic display principles and hardware engineering standards.
- Experience in Hardware Verification testing and optical testing/evaluation instrumentation.
- Ability to apply engineering techniques to optimize product designs and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience within aerospace or related industries.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for testing and collaboration as necessary.
- Relevant certifications in testing methodologies are a plus.
